Life Guard Training and Certification Course
The pre-test period for this course session will end on Aug. 19. The fall course will run from Sept. 5 to Oct. 29 at the South Shore Y. Participants will receive a stipend just for taking the class.
Additionally, those who successfully complete the course and receive certification will be eligible to apply to work at one of the YMCA’s 21 branches. If hired, individuals will receive a $250 sign on bonus. If they stay on for three months, they will receive an additional $250 bonus.
