Overview

RUMC is seeking a dedicated Family Peer Advocate (FPA) to join our Perinatal & Early Childhood Mental Health program (P+ECMH).

The Family Peer Advocate will draw on their lived experience as a parent or primary caregiver of a child with serious emotional and/or behavioral challenges to provide support, advocacy, and education to families. This role is essential to promoting family empowerment, engagement, and resiliency.

  • Salary $22/hr - $26/hr; Grant Funded Program
  • Arrangement Onsite
  • Schedule Monday - Friday

Qualifications

  • Family Peer Advocate (FPA) credential required
  • Must be the parent or primary caregiver of a child with serious emotional/behavioral challenges
  • Experience navigating mental health and related child-serving systems required
  • Previous experience in parent or group facilitation, advocacy, or community organization preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work with diverse families
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Basic computer skills helpful
